The portfolio presented on this website contains work dating back to the 1970's when I was a student at the Kansas City Art Institute. I have included a range of work. I will continue to add work as I have time to digitize images of my work.
The work goes back and forth between abstract and figurative because I find enjoyment in both ways of working, and I find value in both ways of thinking. A consistent theme that runs throughout most of the work has to do with the evanescent quality of life and time. Reality is difficult at best. Who we are and what we do and are meant to do seems an ever changing issue. We are always in the process of becoming, evolving, changing. Just when we think we have a grasp on things, they change and we are in the position of starting again, looking with new eyes. This is what my work is about. Ever changing, ever evolving, ever the same, and always different.
